The challenge

Communities in the Pimaga Sub District of the Nipa Kutubu District face ongoing pressures that affect local stability, wellbeing and cohesion. Previous approaches to peace and good order efforts have often been externally driven, short term, or insufficiently grounded in the lived realities of local people. Sustainable progress requires an approach that is genuinely community led, locally owned and adaptable to changing circumstances.

Achieving this means establishing a structured yet flexible process for consultation, planning and mobilisation. An approach that ensures community leadership, clear priorities and a shared pathway for long term action.

Our solution

Working with the community and an international foundation, this phase focuses on building a locally led approach through ongoing consultations, co-design workshops, a baseline survey and targeted mobilisation support. The outcome is a flexible, community owned Design Framework supported by a two year rolling workplan. Thus, creating the foundation for long term, locally driven peace and good order efforts.
