Women’s Empowerment Platform
Papua New Guinea
Papua New Guinea
Women in Papua New Guinea face persistent barriers to economic participation, leadership and safety. Fragmented support systems and limited access to resources have hindered progress on violence against women, gender equality and women’s rights.
The PNG Women’s Empowerment Platform is a comprehensive digital ecosystem designed to connect, empower and protect women across the country through our:
Direct access to funding, transparent reporting and streamlined disbursement to grassroots women’s organisations.
Centralises evidence on gender-based violence, women’s leadership and economic participation, supporting advocacy and targeted interventions.
Foster community, mentorship and knowledge sharing, while multilingual support ensures accessibility for all.
Rapidly connect survivors of violence to services, track cases and strengthen the rule of law.
Identify hotspots, allocate resources and support policy reform through real-time insights and predictive modelling.
This platform is a proof of concept. Its design and delivery are intended to demonstrate the feasibility and impact of a digitally enabled, network-centric approach to women’s empowerment in fragile contexts. Success will unlock a long-term program of work, with planned expansion across Pacific nations and potential adaptation for other countries facing similar challenges. The model is scalable and its relevance extends well beyond PNG.
