Chat with a UNSW Career Coach who can support you with your career plan and job search questions.
Individual Coaching
- Open to every UNSW student and recent alumni (up to two years after graduating)*
- General coaching sessions are 20 minutes in duration
- Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and Higher Degree Research (HDR) sessions are available
- Discuss a variety of topics including career planning, building a resume, interview preparation and job search advice
- Bookings can be made up to 14 days in advance, with session times generally between 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday
- Sessions are available online (via Microsoft Teams) or in person (John Goodsell Building, Ground Floor, Reception Area, Map Ref: F20)
- Strict limit of one booking per week.
*Students enrolled in Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs can book here for career consultations with AGSM career coaches.
How to prepare
If you’d like a Career Coach to review any documents (resume, cover letter, job ad etc.), have them ready to be shared and discussed.

Career Coaches are often booked back-to-back with appointments, please be available for your session at the booked time. If you have not been contacted for your session after 5 -10 minutes of your allocated start time, please contact employability@unsw.edu.au.
Meet our Career Coaches
Our UNSW Career Coaches, Sumaya, Alexi, Katherine, Tamara, and Shaminie, are accredited career development professionals, with experience in graduate recruitment, human resources and career development across a range of industries.
General booking
General coaching sessions are 20 minutes in duration.
Higher Degree Research (HDR) booking
We offer 30 minute appointments coaching sessions for PhD students.
Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) booking
We offer 30-minute Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) coaching sessions for students, with the possibility of engaging with the same coach.
Students are supported in their career journeys and questions about EDI in recruitment or the workplace are addressed. There is the option of referral to the GradWISE graduate disability employment service for penultimate and final year students.
