UNSW proposes to undertake a transformative redevelopment of its student accommodation precinct to meet growing demand, relieve pressure on the local housing market and enhance the on-campus residential experience. The proposal will replace the existing multi-storey student residences on the site with three new buildings, delivering a higher-density model of approximately 711 beds across five distinct residential colleges and self-contained apartments. Designed to foster community and support student wellbeing, the precinct will feature shared dining, study, wellness, and cultural spaces, alongside quality outdoor communal and landscaped areas. The proposal will prioritise sustainability in both design and operations and embrace Aboriginal design principles.

Barker Street Parking Station Upgrade 

To support its continued growth and strategic goals, UNSW proposes to upgrade the existing Barker Street Carpark.
