I am a Higher Degree Research (HDR) candidate at UNSW undertaking a Master of Education, with a research focus on intrinsic motivation and English language acquisition among Arab immigrants in Australia. My work draws on Self-Determination Theory and Dörnyei's L2 Motivational Self System to examine how sociocultural factors influence language learning in multicultural contexts. I hold a Bachelor's degree in English Language and am passionate about inclusive, research-informed educational practices that support culturally and linguistically diverse learners. In addition to my research, I serve as an HDR student representative at the School of Education and engage in creative content creation through photography and video to explore themes of identity and cultural integration.
