I am pursuing a PhD in Information Systems at the University of New South Wales, focusing on developing a framework for the successful adoption of Metaverse technologies in the construction industry of Saudi Arabia. My thesis examines how immersive digital environments can address long-standing challenges of poor collaboration in construction projects. By exploring factors of technological readiness, organisational culture, and task–technology alignment, this research aims to demonstrate how the Metaverse can enhance stakeholder engagement, improve project efficiency, and support the ambitious goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
