Nafiseh Seyedeh is a PhD candidate in Landscape Architecture at UNSW Sydney. Her research investigates how landscape architecture can shape bushfire-affected roadside landscapes into spaces of ecological resilience, cultural significance, and community recovery. Focusing on the aftermath of the 2019–2020 NSW bushfires, her work integrates GIS analysis, visual storytelling, and ecological assessment to develop a scalable framework for post-fire restoration. Nafiseh’s research highlights how roads can act as storytelling corridors of resilience, connecting environmental processes, cultural memory, and design innovation in the Australian landscape.
