Syawalin Sulaiman is a PhD candidate at the School of Education, UNSW Sydney, supported by a Ministry of Education Malaysia scholarship. She holds a master’s degree in Special Education, a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, and diplomas in Science and Education from Malaysian institutions.

With over a decade of teaching experience, Syawalin has worked extensively with students with learning disabilities, particularly those struggling with foundational literacy and numeracy. Her interdisciplinary academic background reflects a commitment to inclusive and innovative educational practice.

Her doctoral research explores educational technology, computing, literacy curriculum and pedagogy.
