Filling in form

Thank you for your interest in research with the UNSW Academic General Practice Network.

We have developed this webpage and the Expression of Interest (EOI) process to ensure that the Network supports research projects that align with its aims and research strategy, and ultimately improve the care provided by member general practices in the communities that they serve.

Before submitting an EOI for a research project to be considered by the UNSW Academic General Practice Network Committee, please ensure you have reviewed the relevant checklists and gathered all required documentation.

Who should complete this EOI form?

This form is intended for researchers who are not currently affiliated with the UNSW Academic GP Network or the Discipline of General Practice.

If you fall into any of the categories listed below, please contact the UNSW Academic GP Network directly via email:.

  • A current member of the UNSW Academic GP Network
  • Affiliated with the Discipline of General Practice, School of Clinical Medicine
  • A Higher Degree Research (HDR) student
  • An Independent Learning Project (ILP) or Hons student

What kind of research projects are we looking for?

The Network supports research that strengthens and innovates within general practice and primary health care settings. We welcome proposals that are collaborative, practice-based, and relevant to primary care clinicians, patients, and communities served by its members.

We are particularly interested in projects that focus on:

  • Health Services Research - Exploring models of care, service delivery, access, equity, and integration across the health system.
  • Medical Education and Workforce Development - Investigating teaching methods, supervision, training pathways, and strategies to support the future general practice workforce.
  • Cancer Care in Primary Care - Improving prevention, screening, early detection, survivorship, end of life care and coordination of cancer care within general practice settings.

If your research aligns with these themes and contributes to the advancement of primary care, we encourage you to submit an EOI with our Network.

Contact us if you would like more information or if you would like to join the GP Network.
