Overview

The UNSW Health Translation Hub Seminar Room is a dedicated events space for education and research activities, collaboration and external engagement.

The seminar room is a self-serviced events space which can be booked for health-related workshops, seminars, panels and forums, conferences. The space will be set for cluster 72 pax and can accommodate up to 120 pax in theatre style.

The HTH Seminar Room can be booked via a form below. Booking requests are approved by Estate Management if your event meets the space use criteria and the space is available.

Space Use Criteria:

  • Activities must align with UNSW’s mission to improve health outcomes locally and globally.
  • Events should foster collaboration, innovation, or research translation and education.
  • Use must respect the shared, collaborative nature of the Health Translation Hub

When booking the HTH Seminar room you’ll have access to:

  • The HTH Seminar room
  • A reheat kitchen for catering
  • A small breakout area directly outside the seminar room is available for informal networking or mingling before or after your event
    This area is limited to the space immediately outside the room only; the foyer and courtyard are not event spaces and are not available for use
  • Tables (rectangle) and chairs for flexible set up and use
  • Inbuilt audio-visual equipment including screen, lectern and lectern microphone
  • Microsoft Teams enabled space.

Normal operation hours
8am-6pm, Monday to Friday.

Bookings

  • Yes, please see floor plan below. Please note the foyer and courtyard are not event spaces and are not available for use

  • Please make a booking via the form below.

  • If the event is out of hours, you will need to arrange air conditioning, security, and building access via the building management CBRE. This is a two-step process:

    • Await approval from Estates Management for your event booking, and once it is received then
    • Fill out this form and email it to CBRE, the HTH’s building operations team and external to UNSW.

  • The HTH Seminar room:

    • One large room
    • Set as a group learning style (72 pax)

    Those using the Seminar Room are responsible for setting and resetting furniture to its standard set up. If the space is not left tidy and in its standard set up, future bookings by the requestor will not be approved.

    The full room can support a capacity of 120, theatre style set up (not pictured). Other set ups possibilities are included in the image below.
