Edoardo Santagata
Edoardo Santagata is a renewable energy engineer and energy/climate policy specialist focused on decarbonisation planning, financing, and implementation.
Edoardo works at the interface of engineering, policy, markets, and AI - designing practical decision-making frameworks, open-source modelling tools, and investment-ready programs that help governments, utilities, and development partners deliver reliable, affordable, low-carbon power and transport.
Edoardo’s experience spans multi-sectoral energy transition roadmapping, software development and applied data science for AI/ML-driven modelling and analytics, energy security and resilience, critical minerals trade, regulatory and market readiness assessments, off-grid project design and implementation (including delivery of standalone systems for remote communities in Fiji and Vanuatu), clean maritime strategies, and carbon market design. Edoardo combines rigorous analysis with hands-on field deployment, AI-enabled decision-support systems and workflows, and stakeholder facilitation, translating policy targets into bankable projects and measurable results, with regional experience in Australia, Pacific Islands, and South East Asia.
Edoardo also has extensive consulting experience with government, development, and private sector clients, and serves as a Director of the Pacific Carbon Association (PCA), a not-for-profit focused on high-integrity carbon markets in the Pacific.
