Project Title: The role of the brown food web in the functioning of desert ecosystems

Project Description: My PhD is focused on investigating the processes that underpin desert food webs in Australia. The main aim of my research is to assess how the brown food web or detrital pathway is an essential basal energy source when primary productivity ceases.
