Qi Cheng

Qi Cheng has been a PhD student at CCRC since 2025. Her research focuses on how changes in the AMOC affect the ocean carbon cycle and atmospheric CO₂ levels.

Project Title: How changes in the AMOC affect the global carbon cycle

Project Description: Investigating carbon-cycle responses to AMOC weakening in an Earth system model, quantifying land and ocean carbon partitioning, regional air–sea CO₂ flux anomalies, and interior ocean carbon storage and ventilation changes.
