Dua Ahmad is a Research Associate at UNSW Canberra, contributing to the ISS4SR Hub through her expertise in ethical AI, autonomous systems, and human-centred design. She holds a PhD in Explainable AI, has an engineering background in electronic and communication systems, and has led multidisciplinary research across academia and Defence. Her work focuses on the responsible development of intelligent technologies, bridging technical innovation with social impact, particularly in fragile and high-risk contexts.

In addition to her research, Dua’a has initiated projects promoting inclusive digital health and wellbeing. She is deeply committed to stakeholder engagement, cross-cultural collaboration, and advancing resilient, equitable systems that serve diverse communities.
