School of Civil and Environmental Engineering

Finn is a Project Engineer experienced in sustainability, coastal processes, and physical modelling at the Water Research Laboratory. He completed a double degree in Renewable Energy Engineering and Marine and Coastal Science at UNSW, with a focus towards aspects of water engineering including fluid dynamics and coastal engineering. As part of his studies, he completed an Honours thesis (First Class) investigating offshore wind energy generation in NSW and its interaction with extreme climate such as bushfires. He was also awarded the Engineering Dean’s Award for best performance in the year.

Finn has become a proficient physical modeller, developing a sound understanding of complex hydraulic processes through laboratory testing of breakwaters and flume modelling. He also has experience in computer modelling and programming in various software.
