Januka Perera

Januka is a Research Officer working at WRL as part of CoastRI's national coastal imaging and fixed LiDAR monitoring initiative. He focuses on the deployment and integration of advanced sensing systems to support long-term coastal monitoring and data-driven decision making.

He holds a Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering and has a strong interest in automation and field deployable technologies. He specialises in the development of multi-sensor platforms, embedded systems and real-time monitoring solutions. Previously, he worked at the Australian Centre for Robotics, where he developed field-based systems for agricultural research applications.
