UNSomnia Presenter (2024), UNSW Centre for Ideas
The UNSW Centre for Ideas presents a thought-provoking program of events and digital content, bringing the globe's leading thinkers to UNSW Sydney and showcasing UNSW's expertise to the world.
I was selected as a presenter for UNSOMNIA, a highly competitive professional development program that trains UNSW academics, researchers, and PhD students in high-performance presentation skills. The program provides a platform to showcase ideas to the world through high-production events and publicity. The program represents a significant commitment of resources by UNSW into 9 presenters like myself.
As a presenter, I will deliver my take on strategies to enhance cyber education in Australia at a TED-like event in October 2024, followed by a UNSW-supported media campaign. My presentation will focus on integrating cyber security concepts into primary, secondary, and tertiary education curricula, as well as promoting public awareness campaigns.
I am not a researcher, I am a practitioner who provides expertise to assist UNSW Canberra (School of Professional Studies), UNSW Sydney (UNSW Business School) and other education institutions.
I am happy to consider research ideas, or information on current industry practice.
