I am a palaeoclimate scientist, with a research focus on speleothem palaeoclimatology. Speleothems are natural cave decorations which record environmental indicators as changes in chemical concentrations as they form. Currently I'm contributing to an ARC Discovery Project held between UNSW and ANSTO where we are using stalagmites to reconstruct past fire events from southwest Australia!
