  • Discover your future at UNSW SPREE! Dive into hands-on activities, industry insights and cutting-edge research. Designed for Year 10 high school students passionate about solar and renewable energy engineering, this immersive program offers a unique glimpse into university life and potential career paths. Submit your expression of interest via the link provided! Travel subsidies are available for eligible NSW students.

    What to expect?

    Program offerings

    You will take part in hands-on activities, visit research labs, and engage with industry partners who come to campus to discuss current projects and sector challenges, giving you direct insight into careers in solar and renewable energy engineering.

    Our academic facilitators will also introduce the key theory underpinning your program design challenge, equipping you with the knowledge to develop practical, well-informed solutions.

    Attire

    Please arrive dressed in smart casual attire and closed shoes only. Your facilitators will provide the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) before any relevant activity.

    Daily program timings

    It is expected that selected participants will attend the full five-day offering. Please check with your program contact/facilitators to confirm start and end times for each day.

    Program dates: October 19 - 23

    Applications open on 1st April and close of 10th May.

  • The UNSW SunSprint Model Solar Challenge will be held on the second weekend of the school Term4. SunSprint is on Friday and Saturday while MiniSprint, Solar Boats and the Solar Pursuit events are on Saturday. The event is open to all primary and high school students in NSW and ACT.
