The Japanese Language Proficiency Test is conducted both in Japan and abroad to assess and certify the proficiency levels of learners of the Japanese language.
2025 December JLPT in Sydney
Date: December 7 (Sun), 2025
Venue: Patricia O'Shane Building, UNSW Sydney, Kensington Campus public transport
Applications Period: August 29(Fri) 9am AEST- September 11(Thu) 5pm AEST or until capacity is reached, whichever occurs first.
Mobile phones, smart watches and similar devices are BANNED from use from the beginning of the test until all sections have concluded, INCLUDING DURING TEST BREAKS. You may bring them, but they must be switched off and will be held by staff for the entire test day duration.

Applications are administered centrally by the Japan Foundation, Sydney. Please visit the JLPT Australia webpage to register and make payments for the test.
Cost
- Level N1, N2 and N3 ⇒ $105.00 Test fee + $6.81 Eventbrite booking fee
- Level N4 and N5⇒ $95.00 Test fee + $6.27 Eventbrite booking fee.
